We have a bumper list of links for tonights show, starting with
Ballmer cocking things up again, with the Metro trademark. After that is
a strange story about Warner Bros, and a counterfeit allegation against
an Amazon reseller. Next up is a story that even iPad owners are not as
daft as Murdoch assumed they were, that they don’t want to throw money
at the Daily for news.
Welcome news, in Monty Python style “I’m not dead”, Damn Small Linux
has returned with a new release. From one welcome news story to one
that’s as welcome as a dose of the squirts in a space suit, the MPAA are
up to their usual bullshit, with an exposed PR campaign against Richard
O’Dwyer of TVShack.
We end the news section with a question: what would you like to hear
in a TechDirt podcast? Get your arse over there and tell them. Our
discussion this week was about gaming, Valve’s decision to support
Linux, and what it could mean fur the future.
This week, we dun goofed on the Uncut recording. We didn’t get any of
the show on the recording, so it started after the show was finished,
and includes the feedback episode. We decided to tighten the show up
too. From now on, we’re gonna get back to just the two hosts, with
occasional guests. We added a downloads page too, as a single archive
fur folks with download managers to scoop every episode easily.
